Embarking from Kingston, the M/V Canadian Empress provides luxurious overnight cruising of the river with several tours with different itineraries.

Kingston resident Bob Clark developed the St. Lawrence Cruise Lines in 1979. He modeled the Empress on river steam boats on the river at the turn of the twentieth centure. She was launched in September, 1981.

Tours extend down the river to Quebec City, or up the Ottawa River to the nation's captial, or remain among the Thousand Islands.
