In our family we have often said… “We will cross that bridge when we come to it…”
When Paul Malo, created TI Life in 2006 he wanted to share his 1000 Islands history files with everyone.
No advertising, no subscription or membership fees.
In 2008, Ian Coristine persuaded me to take over as the editor. We – the TI Life Team - decided that we would keep TI Life free for everyone, 24/7; we wanted the site to look as clean and beautiful as possible.
There are costs to producing this monthly journal. Ian Coristine took over the cost of our email program, which now has 5,000 subscribers. Ian also looks after the prizes for the annual Photo Contest and supports the hosting site.
Mike Cox (Creative Solutions) continued to do his computer magic, by donating hours of his time, and I look after posting and publishing approximately 11-13 articles per month for the past 5 years.
All authors, photographers and our dedicated editors/proof readers also volunteer their expertise and Voila… you have TI Life each month.
Well, we have come to that Bridge we were going to cross, when we got there…
Rather than getting fancy… We need to raise some funds, to continue our mailing program; we want to purchase software so we may continually update the site, such as making it more Phone and Tablet friendly. So we now look to our readers for support.
We have a new DONATE button, through PayPal…
How about $2. $5, $10, $25… or however much you think TI Life is worth supporting? If so, we thank you most sincerely!
We also welcome your comments and suggestions.
